Dove Community's Torian Store, late 1800s Before Southlake's Incorporation

Many scenes from Southlake's past include pictures of Southlake before it was incorporated in 1956; prior to that the area was commonly referred to as the "area west of Grapevine" and many residents considered themselves part of Grapevine. They walked or rode horses or drove a wagon to town to sell their crops, find a doctor, or spend a Saturday night.
